What is IBC-Rating at IBC Digital Bridge?

Attract. Connect. Motivate. Assist to Deliver are the four cornerstone processes developed by IBC Bridge Canada, adopted by all its Programs and employed by IBC Digital Bridge platform.

IBC-Rating System is Designed to Motivate, Promote and Reward the Users of IBC Digital Bridge

Simplified sketch of how IBC-Rating System works is shown on the image below.

The overall IBC-Rating of a user (Program participant) is the sum of Participation Points and Purchasing Points. The IBC-Rating value defines the user position in the list of top 10 most active, dedicated and trustworthy users.

IBC Participation Points are awarded to every registered user (municipality, province (oblast), foreign business or expert) of IBC Digital Bridge for

  • every published Business Investment Initiative or Municipal | Province Investment Opportunity
  • viewing initiatives of other registered users
  • comments made on initiatives of other users
  • e-mail invites to join to others from outside of IBC Digital Bridge Platform
  • referrals placed on websites of other interested organizations.

IBC Purchasing Points are awarded to every registered user of IBC Digital Bridge for purchased services only. After a user earned 15,000 of Purchasing Points, the points are being converted into purchase rewards, and the user becomes eligible to get certain services for free or with substantial discount. For example, every 6th Start-Up One-to-One Online Discovery Meeting would be for free in exchange on 15,000 Purchasing Points.

The Participation Points are not being converted into purchase rewards and discounts on products and services, however, they are very important part of image making and trust building process, and should never be neglected or took easy. The nature of Participation Points is that they begin decrease by 3 points every day after 10 days (in a raw) of user inactivity on the IBC Digital Bridge, and this could essentially undermine user's overall IBC-Rating, which defines the user position in the list of top 10. Participation Points are designed to make up to 40% contribution to overall IBC-Rating value, thus they essentially influence the user overall IBC-Rating, as well as, the possibility for the user to be promoted or not promoted on the first page of IBC Digital Bridge.
